In-Person: Dia De Los Muertos Community Altar @ Ortega Park

Santa Barbara’s annual community-rooted and community-powered, Dia de Los Muertos celebration. This year our event will be held at Ortega Park from 1-6 pm on Sunday, November 7, 2021. As the largest family and community-centered and collaborative Dia de Los Muertos event in the city, Dia de Los Muertos 2021 can offer you a unique opportunity to reach out to the Santa Barbara community.

Hosted by La Casita Projects, El Centro SB, #OccupyOrtegaPark, Del Pueblo Cafe

This year’s Dia de Los Muertos event will be honoring our ancestors, our community members who have passed away, and our loved ones who are no longer with us, physically. Additionally, our event will feature our local musicians, dance groups, it will provide an art and craft booth for kids, and will be offering local youth vendors an opportunity to sell their unique goods.

Several of the city’s non-profit and advocacy groups have joined together to invite the community to RECLAIM, RECONNECT AND REMEMBER those lost in recent pandemic and unrestful times.
