Daniel Keith Ward
The world lost a loving, generous, good-natured husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend on May 24, 2020.
Dan Ward died at Serenity House after a brief bout with Melanoma.
Dan was born to Gordon and Dorothy Ward in Bakersfield. He had a rich and varied life as dragster racer, sea urchin and abalone diver, Navy fighter pilot in Vietnam, and United Airlines pilot. He was hard-working and constantly building–residing in Hawaii, Alaska, and Santa Barbara at the same time. Dan was an avid outdoorsman; loving fishing, hunting, swimming, diving, skiing, and gardening. He traveled extensively to many countries around the world with the love of his life, Carol. “Having each other was having it all”.
He is survived by wife Carol Seekins; sister Dena Groters; nieces Jan, Jill, and Donette Hicks.
He was predeceased by daughter Ruth Anne Marie.
He is missed by many. A “Celebration of Dan’s life” to be held at a later date, Covid-19 permitting.
