Richard D. Jimenez

Richard D. Jimenez, 57, passed away on May 8, 2020 after a brief illness.

Richard was born in Santa Barbara on August 22, 1962 and spent most of his life in Santa Barbara.  He attended catholic grammar school and graduated from Bishop Garcia Diego High School.  He worked 27 years for the County of Santa Barbara as an accountant.

Richard is preceded in death by his parents Socorro and Jesus and his brother Raul.  He leaves behind his sisters, Yolanda and Rebecca, two nephews John Robert (Ariel) and Marco Jimenez, and his aunt Lupe Leon.  He also leaves behind many cherished cousins and his adopted family the Fierros and Pointers who stood by him always.

The family wishes to thank all the staff of Villa Alamar for all the wonderful care they gave Richard in his struggles.

Richard, we all will miss the big smile that always accompanied the fun and laughter you brought to all of us.

A memorial mass and celebration of life will be held in the future when we are allowed to gather again.

Meanwhile toast Richard who loved life and music, especially Barbara and Cher.
