This workshop is a lecture by UCSB Anthropology graduate student Kenzie Wade on Entomophagy: the study of eating insects.
We will talk about the stigma surrounding eating insects, where it comes from and how we can move past it, as well as the environmental and health benefits of edible insects. Join us at the UCSB Multicultural Center – in the Graduate Student Association lounge – (494 UCEN Road, Isla Vista, CA 93117) to try various types of insects as we learn about how adding insects to our diet may play a role in our futures.
This workshop is part of the Food Citizenship series put on by the UC Global Food Initiative, an organization geared toward creating solutions for a more just and equitable food system.
