Art From Scrap

Join us at the opening and reception for Cosmic Daydream, an immersive art installation featuring a suite of virtual reality films by filmmaker Travis Hutchison. Cosmic Daydream celebrates the art, music, and innovation of three legendary artists who explored the idea of “Space Age” : Andy Warhol’s Silver 60’s, David Bowie’s 70’s Glam Rock, and Kenny Scharf’s New Wave 80’s.
Cosmic Daydream takes you on a trip to the Silver Factory, a high-tech Pop Art Happening with Warhol Superstars Ultra Violet, Edie Sedgwick, The Velvet Underground’s Lou Reed and Nico and Warhol’s most famous artworks and films. Then continue on a galactic musical journey through an infinite stereoscopic kaleidoscope of David Bowie’s Ziggy Stardust and The Spiders from Mars stage show. Finally, you’ll land in the super fun Cosmic Cavern, a 3D day-glo Surrealist art party installation by Kenny Scharf.
