Communion Dance with Marcelino

Marcelino is our Minister of Music this Sunday!  He says, “a DJ friend (Rachelle Phillipe) recently gifted me a huge collection of exceptionally great dance music. Her gift is inspiring my musical selections for this Sunday and has led me to reflect on how I previously selected music for my sets while running up and down huge mountain trails – which resulted in very stimulating dance journeys.

For this Sunday there will still be lots of international rhythms with sublime chaos at the peaks but the pace will be steadier and more spacious because that’s what my life feels like now! I’m excited to move into a new year, making more space to open gifts, more steadily embodying abilities, and more consciously expanding into possibilities through ecstatic dance.

For me, ecstatic dance is about abandoning ourselves to the rhythms of life and allowing ourselves to move freely as the music takes us on a shamanic journey that leads us into trance and ecstasy where we are open to receive insights, revelations, and gifts from the spirit realm. It’s also an excellent way to process the stresses of life through the joy movement brings and thereby return to our inner serenity.  What I love most about ecstatic dance is how we share a deep and joyous experience together in community – it’s truly a communion!”

Minister of Music Marcelino provides musical journeys for personal transformation, healing, and empowerment.
