Barbara Marie Sanchez-Montz

Barbara Marie Sanchez-Montz, 83, Neosho, MO, passed away on Dec. 31, 2019. She was born Jan. 27, 1936, in Lompoc, CA to Harlan and Edith (Baggett) Swonger. Barbara loved reading, designing houses, and buying and fixing up properties to resell and a great love of travel. She was best known for her very bubbly personality. Barbara worked as a realtor. Barbara was a member of the Neosho United Methodist Church. Robin married Barbara Sanchez on May 21, 2011. She is survived by her husband, Robin; six children, Kathy Rowley and husband, Bob, Bend, OR, Crystal Godwin and husband, Michael, Goleta, CA, Patty Crisp and husband, Kevin, Lincoln, CA, Mark Sanchez and wife, Jan, Santa Barbara, CA, Lisa Cahill, Santa Margarita, CA and Julie James and husband, David, Long Beach, CA; two sisters, Mayetta Trent, Salem, VA and Donna Evers, Stevens City, VA and a brother, Claude Swonger, Glendale, CA; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; one infant son, Sammy Sanchez, one brother, Lee Swonger, her first husband, Sam Sanchez, and her second husband, Ralph Poulin. There will be private memorial gatherings in Barbara’s honor at a later date.
