Judi L. Klein

Judi L. Klein, daughter, mother, sister, grandmother and dear friend stepped away from her earthly body on October 31. She now knows much more about the universal plan than we do; at least until we join in her heavenly place. Judi was born June 11,1947 to Tony and Bernice Klein of Santa Barbara and is sister to Chuck Klein. Most dear to her heart is the love for her two sons, Mark Jimenez of Santa Barbara, her late son, Lamar Jimenez and her cherished granddaughter, Kaitlyn Jimenez, her brother Chuck and sis-in-law, Deborah Breedon. Judi bids farewell for now to her family and many friends, all who will miss her infectious smile, her exuberant laugh and the tapping of her toes to the music she loved. Judi was a woman of strength and determination who met many challenges in her life head on, never allowing them to detract from her love for life. For Judi, finding hope in every day meant the glass was more than half full.

Judi attended elementary through high school in Goleta and Santa Barbara. In everything, Judi was ‘all in’. A valued employee included working for a local orchid grower, a fourteen-year administrative position with Vetronix/Bosch and most recently Subcontractor Management for Cold Spring Engineering, LLC. Paramount in Judi’s life was her love and respect for animals. Possessing natural skills and a special magic around animals she started a local pet sitting business, Animals Seeking Kindness (ASK).
Her enthusiasm as a companion to the furry friends of others was rewarding and healing. Judi was an artist with a keen sense of creating art assemblage from treasures she found along her way. Her creations
reflected her observations and her story as she lived it. Enjoying every aspect of nature Judi loved the freedom of a hike among towering trees or feeling the breezes pass while bicycling the Obern Trail. She learned horseback riding so she could gallop the local beaches. Given the chance to go dancing, Judi was on the floor until the band unplugged. Watching historical documentaries and old movies was another of her favorite past times.

Judi’s family, friends, and her community will remember Judi as a life well lived, full of love and compassion. Given the chance Judi would say when you’re lonely and sick of heart, go to the friends you know and bury your sorrows in doing good deeds.
