UCSB Women In Photonics 2019: Freedom Photonics

As part of our annual Women in Photonics, we invite you to join Freedom Photonics for hands-on light science demos and a tour of their cleanroom! You’ll learn a bit about what “photonics” is and why it’s important, as well as get to see the space where “photonic devices” are packaged and tested.

This event is targeted towards students grades 6+. Girls are highly encouraged to register! Parents or chaperones are welcome to attend and must also register.

TOUR ATTENDEES, INCLUDING CHILDREN, MUST BE U.S. PERSONS.

Due to the sensitive nature of the work, each tour attendee must bring one of the following IDs:

(1) U.S. Passport
(2) U.S. Naturalization Certificate
(3) Permanent Resident/Green Card
(4) U.S. Birth Certificate AND either Photo ID or Social Security card

Note: For parents or chaperones, a driver’s license is NOT valid proof
