Gabe Saglie Talks All About Ireland

If you are planning a trip to Ireland, thinking about traveling to Ireland or just want to hear more about the country, join the Santa Barbara Dingle Sister City group to hear S.B.’s own Gabe Saglie tell about his adventures in Ireland.  Gabe is Senior Editor for Travelzoo.com and can be seen on national and international TV, as well as read in a local weekly with a column on wine.

Gabe will be talking about the many delightful aspects of the Emerald Isle.  From whiskey and food, to Brexit and what it will mean for the Republic of Ireland. There’s a renewed focus on festivals, as well as genealogy and sustainability aimed at luring American travelers year-round and country-wide.

Gabe flies off to Ireland a few days later to cover Púca, a new festival created to celebrate Ireland as the birthplace of Halloween.  He’ll fill us in on the festivities planned for this inaugural fest happening in three cities in Counties Meath and Lough.  Plus, he will have videos to share from Galway and Wicklow and Wexford.

Gabe has become the go-to guy for travel ideas and myriad stories behind the places he travels.  You may remember him as the KEYT weatherman. He currently writes about wine for the Montecito Journal.  You’ll see him on ABC’s national morning show GMA occasionally too.   Join us for an evening of lively stories and great company.
