Shane Nicolas Lipsky
Shane Nicolas Lipsky passed into peace and light on July 9, 2019. He is survived by his parents Alan and Polly Lipsky, his twin sister Shelby, his grandmothers Lyliane Bittner and Sue Lipsky, numerous aunts and uncles and dozens of cousins. He also leaves behind his most cherished dog Lou.
Along with his beloved sister, Shane was born in Santa Barbara on July 14, 1999. Shane found solace in nature – pine trees and rivers were among his favorite places to be. Shane loved animals which was evident in some of his choices of employment: working at Dioji Canine Resort and Athletic Club and as a dog walker. Anyone who met Shane knew that he also had a passion for music. He loved the guitar and although he couldn’t read notes, he taught himself many of his favorite songs. People were always amazed at his eclectic music collection, never knowing what they were going to hear blaring from his room.
Shane was a sensitive soul who was caring and empathetic. He was funny and he kept us on our toes with his sarcastic, witty sense of humor. Shane will be greatly missed by his family and friends. We will forever hold him in our hearts. Rest in peace, sweet Shane.
A celebration of Shane’s life will be held at 12:00 p.m. at Kiwanis Meadows on Sunday, July 21. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Santa Barbara Humane Society.
