Breast Cancer Resource Center Health Education Lecture: Dr. Marisa Perdomo, PT, DPT, Assistance Professor of Clinical Physical Therapy at UCS, specializes in cancer rehabilitation, and participates in clinical research regarding clinical practice guidelines for cancer-related Lymphedema. She is also a cancer survivor and offers a unique perspective on healing from cancer treatments. She will discuss updates on early diagnosis of breast cancer-related Lymphedema, new diagnosis guidelines and tools, and evidence-based treatment options including surgical intervention.
This free lecture is open to the public and will include a question and answer session. There will be an interpreter at the lecture with headsets for our Spanish speaking population.
