Dances from time of Jane Austen: English Country Dancing

All are welcome to learn dances from the time of Jane Austen (and earlier, and later). We dance to delightful and varied music from the Baroque (and earlier, and later). No need to bring a partner as we love to mix. No special outfit or shoes required. Our dances vary from energetic to stately. Our dances are made of figures, which we teach. The most important figure is ‘the smile’ which we don’t teach. Just about every Tuesday. Be sure to arrive by 7:15 for new-dancer-oriented instruction.
