Timothy Staab
Under the loving care of family and Cottage Hospital staff, Timothy Staab peacefully passed away October 29, 2018 after enduring five weeks of multiple health issues. Born in Santa Barbara June 14, 1972 to Raymond (deceased) and Mary Ellen Staab, Tim became a popular personality in his Painted Cave and Santa Barbara communities. In conversations with locals, it was common for Tim’s family members to hear, “Oh! You’re Timmy’s mom/brother/sister!” Tim was a winner of many Special Olympic medals in swimming and running. He was a knowledgeable source for George Lucas film trivia and all things Motown, especially Michael Jackson. Tim is remembered for his fearless, inquisitive, trusting and adventurous spirit, evidenced in the experiences re-told by his family and many throughout the Santa Barbara community. “Oh, the Places You’ll Go!”* Tim is survived by his mother Mary Ellen, siblings Jeannine (Jimmy) Todd and Ben Donovan, his favorite niece Stephanie (Tim) Terrio, nephews Caleb (Ayala) Todd and Gabriel Todd, grand-nieces Andi May and Aria Todd, and many dear cousins from the Lopez, McDow, Staab and Schober clans.
“So…be your name Buxbaum or Bixby or Bray
Or Mordecai Ali Van Allen O’Shea,
You’re off to great places!
Today is your day! Your mountain is waiting.
So…get on your way!” -Dr. Seuss
