A Call for S.B. Beautiful Award Nominations
We live in a gorgeous city, and for the last 45 years Santa Barbara Beautiful has been honoring the beauty of this town with awards in 10 categories. It’s time again for folks to nominate their favorite garden, home, building, etc., for the 2009 awards, which are given out in the fall at a big gala. Categories include public art, ornamental gates, commercial signs, historic revitalized gardens and/or buildings, and stonework. According to the entry form, guidelines for selecting a nominee include “overall visual appeal, unified design between architecture and landscaping; inventive use of space; and design fits within context of neighborhood.” Nominations are being accepted through the end of April.
