Teen Volunteer Opportunity at Central Library
Community Service for Summer Reading Program
Volunteens will be assisting in the children’s Summer Reading Program. Their responsibilities include talking to kids about books, giving out prizes and helping library staff. Volunteens must be at least 13 years of age, and able to commit to one 2-hour shift weekly during the Summer Program (June 9 – July 31).
The Central Library invites teens to pizza and volunteer orientation and training session on:
Saturday, May 26th from 12 – 1pm
Santa Barbara Central Library
40 E. Anapamu St.
Interested teens may pick up a volunteer application at the Children’s Desk or contact Nuvia Alvarez at 805.564.5638 or Nalvarez@santabarbaraca.gov .
