Major Executive Moves at ReviveHealth
ReviveHealth, the leading strategic communication firm specializing in Health Services, Health Technology, and Healthy Living, is pleased to announce the addition of Robert Berra as the firm’s first chief strategy officer. Berra joins ReviveHealth with 25 years of experience in directing and managing marketing communication and business development strategies for health services and health technology companies. This significant addition marks the latest in a series of important additions for ReviveHealth to fill out the executive leadership team for the agency to support continued growth. Berra will work from ReviveHealth’s Nashville, TN office, relocating from California in the upcoming months.
Prior to joining ReviveHealth, Berra served as executive vice president at a leading Boston-‐based health care marketing communication firm, leading that firm’s Health Technology and Services practice, and serving as a member of the company’s executive committee. He also served as vice president of marketing for Vital Data Technology, an innovator in emerging health care technology focusing on enabling comprehensive care coordination.
Prior to Vital Data Technology, Berra served 14 years as a founding partner of the industry-‐leading marketing firm, FischerHealth, which sold to Omnicom/Porter Novelli in 2004. Berra helped reshape the way in which medical devices and health information technology products and services were marketed and sold to the nation’s leading regional and national hospitals, health systems and health plans. From working with Fortune 500 companies such as Boston Scientific, Elsevier, Ernst & Young, Fuji Medical, McKesson, Medtronic, and Toshiba, to emerging companies including Alere, ePocrates, HeartWare, iScribe, Thoratec, Vital Data Technology, and others, Berra helped hone both the marketing and business development approaches that led to successful C-‐suite engagements, sales, market growth, and, when appropriate, successful exit strategies for his clients.
In addition to Berra joining the ReviveHealth leadership team, Joanne Thornton has been promoted to chief accounts officer (CAO) from executive vice president. Thornton has led ReviveHealth’s client service teams since the firm was founded in 2009. As CAO, Thornton will focus on serving as senior strategic counselor and advisor, maintaining strong client relationships, and assuring best quality client service programs. Additionally, Thornton will spearhead the firm’s staff mentoring, account reviews, and professional development efforts to deliver top quality client service. Thornton will also lead the development and implementation of ReviveU, the firm’s professional development program.
With Thornton’s promotion and Berra’s addition, the ReviveHealth executive team now includes the following professionals:
• Bob Berra, chief strategy officer (CSO)
• Joanne Thornton, chief accounts officer (CAO)
• Phil Stone, chief operating officer (COO)
• Kriste Goad, chief marketing officer (CMO)
• Brandon Edwards, chief executive officer (CEO)
“In 2012, ReviveHealth will hit nearly $5 million in fees, with 15 percent of our revenue coming from the Health Technology sector,” said Edwards. “It is essential that we have the right leadership team in place to reach our growth target of $10 million in fees in the coming years. We are excited about Bob’s ability to help lead this agency, facilitate the development of our intellectual property and branded processes, and continue the professionalization of our executive team. Given our long-‐standing advisory relationship with FischerHealth principals Roger Fischer and Alex Halbur, now at Option A Advisors, we’re confident that our decision to add Bob Berra is a significant strategic step forward for our fast-‐ growing firm.”
