CATCHING UP IN COLOMBIA: “What’s there to do during your surface interval between dives, you ask?” reports Santa Barbara resident Giuseppe Bonfiglio, pictured here a couple of weeks ago off the coast of Cartagena, Colombia, where he traveled for a wedding and general South American-meets-Caribbean adventure. “Well, pack your Indy and catch up on some news from back home!” A late-1990s graduate from UCSB, Bonfiglio now works in the avocado industry for Index Fresh (whose consumer brand is AvoTerra) and spends his free time hiking the front-country trails and cooking up gourmet meals at home.
