Officers Support “Don’t Ask Don’t Tell”
A study announced on 2/25 by UCSB’s Palm Center-a research institute dedicated to social problems but focused on the issue of gays in the military-indicates that 78 percent of U.S. military officers support the “Don’t ask, don’t tell” policy, even in spite of low recruitment numbers. Center director Aaron Belkin said the study seems to agree with similar surveys on the matter.
