Gang Injunction Trial Delayed Until October 1

A July trial date for the city’s proposed gang injunction has been abandoned to give city attorneys more time to petition the juvenile court for information. Attorneys representing the city, the District Attorney’s Office, and named defendants of the controversial injunction were in court Monday morning for a status hearing. City attorneys are seeking information under seal of the juvenile court to bolster their case for the need for a gang injunction. The new tentative trial date is October 1.
