The California Highway Patrol is reporting that parties involved in a four-vehicle accident on Friday afternoon emerged with overall few injuries. Officers arrived at the scene of the accident, west of the Highway 154 summit, just after 4 p.m. yesterday and found a stretch limousine facing the wrong direction, as well as three other vehicles apparently affected by the accident. According to the CHP’s narrative of the events, the driver of the Accord lost control while driving west and skidded into the eastbound lane, causing the driver of the limo to swerve left in an attempt to get out of the way. The Accord still struck the limo, and both the Yukon and the Sonoma – which were both following the limo – collided with the limo as well.

One passenger from the Accord was transported to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital with moderate injuries, while to limo riders had minor injuries.

The CHP is reporting that alcohol and drugs were not factors in this accident.
