HOME WINE COMPETITION NOW ACCEPTING ENTRIES
You are invited to submit your wines to Santa Barbara County Fair Home Wine Competition to be held June 14th, 2014 at the Santa Barbara Fair Park in Santa Maria. Visit http://santamariafairpark.com for more information including the rules and guidebook. Registration is now open on-line at http://stbarb.fairmanager.com/ and all homemade wines made with grapes grown in Santa Barbara or San Luis Obispo Counties are eligible. Deadline for entry online is May 16th and the fee is only $5 per entry. You can enter as many varieties as you wish in Varietal categories for Red, White, and Rose wines, as well as Dessert wines and Fruit wines.
The Central Coast Home Vintners’ Association http://www.cchva.org/ will again be judging this event on behalf of the Santa Maria Fairpark making 2014 our 20th consecutive year. We have grown from 12 entries that first year to 54 entries in 2013.

Our local papers will be given a list of the gold-medal winning wines, as well as winner of BEST of SHOW. The entire list of winning wines will be published online at http://www.cchva.org/
Gold Medal and Best of Show wines will be displayed during the Santa Barbara County Fair, and All medal recipients, BRONZE, SILVER, and GOLD will receive a medal from the Santa Barbara County Fair to display at home, as well as detailed scoring sheets from our judges offering valuable notes, tips, and constructive criticism on how to make a better wine.
