Sunday Morning Stabbing in Isla Vista

A fight in Isla Vista in the early morning hours of Sunday resulted in two victims and the arrest of a 20-year-old UCSB student for attempted murder. At 4 a.m. on November 18, the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Department responded to calls about a knife fight on the 800 block of Embarcadero del Norte to find one man with six stab wounds (who was rushed with life-threatening injuries to the hospital, where he remains in stable condition) and one man who had suffered blunt force trauma to the head. The deputies followed leads to a nearby residence, where a knife was found and Peter Cho was arrested for attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon, and destroying or concealing evidence.
