Still Dreaming
Martin Luther King Day March
Celebrate the life and legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. with a morning full of festivities on Monday, January 16. A rally including 17th-century African-American dance and gospel song kicks things off at De La Guerra Plaza at 9 a.m.; then join in a march up State Street at 10 a.m., followed by a program at the Arlington Theatre at 11 a.m., which will feature remembrances from Wallace Shepherd Sr., who knew and protested with Dr. King. Once you’ve worked up an appetite, make your way to the First United Methodist Church for a community lunch at 1 p.m.
