“Carrot tops for a carrot top!” exclaimed Alex Melton, when we asked why she’s got a bouquet garni in her hair and is holding what looks like a bunch of circumcised vegetables. Nicknamed “Little Red” as a child — “Red” was already taken by her mother — our advertising designer got her degree in design media arts at UCLA after touring Europe with S.B. High’s Madrigals, then settled into the organized chaos of The Indy‘s weekly production schedule. For fun, Melton gets her dance on at fests like Coachella and Electric Daisy Carnival. Natch.
