Direct Relief Restocks West African Clinics
Clinics in Liberia and Sierra Leone forced to close due to last year’s Ebola outbreak may soon reopen their doors, thanks to recent efforts of Direct Relief staff and volunteers. Helpers prepared 100 Health Facility Supply Modules to help restock and restore the shuttered medical facilities, including items such as surgical gown sets, gloves, masks, lanterns, disposal bins, and soap. The supply kits, shipped out on Tuesday, were developed in consultation with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Clinton Health Access Initiative, and the medical director of Last Mile Health.
