Indy‘s Local Heroes on TV
Santa Barbara Channels catches our annual appreciation of community stalwarts
Just got word from the hardest working man in
(public access) show business, Hap Freund of Santa
Barbara Channels. He’s currently completing the final edits
on The Indy‘s blockbuster hit,
Local Heroes: 2006. These are the projected broadcast
times for this year’s event on Channel 17:
Friday, Dec. 22nd at 1 PM Sunday, Dec. 24th at 2 and 10 PM
Monday, Dec. 25th at 10 AM and 7 PM Tuesday, Dec. 26th at 7 AM Wed.
Dec. 27th at 5:30 PM Friday, Dec. 29th at 1 PM Saturday, Dec.30 at
9 AM and 6 PM Sunday, Dec. 31 10 AM and 2 PM
I can’t forsee how it comes across as a broadcast, but year in
and year out, it is one of the finer moments for the paper, a time
to stop and recognize our remarkable neighbors. This year was
particularly great. As always, SOhO was a terrific
venue.
