I.V. Co-op Hosting Food-Justice Events

Isla Vista Food Co-op is hosting a food-justice trifecta on November 13, staring at noon with free grocery-getter bike baskets, while supplies last. Mechanics from UCSB’s Associated Students Bike Shop will be on-hand to help with installation. At 4 p.m., The Grazing Hour potluck begins, with the Associated Students Food Bank, I.V. Community Relations Committee, and the co-op providing food and inviting community members to contribute a dish, if they’re able. Lastly, at 6 p.m., social workers will be on hand to help people sign up for CalFresh, California’s federal food stamps program.
