Miramar Owner Receives One-Year Extension

Miramar Hotel owner Rick Caruso, after explaining the economy has delayed his ability to proceed with construction, received a one-year extension on a Coastal Development Permit and a five-year extension on a Conditional Use Permit to build his hotel.

Further extensions could allow Caruso to wait until 2015 before having to build the luxury hotel. In exchange, he has agreed to increase security on the property and remove debris as much as possible.
