Thanks for the story on Bill Bertka. It’s a nice update, and I am glad he is doing so well.
I have memories of my dad taking us kids (now in our seventies) to those minor-league games, the Santa Barbara Dodgers. (I even have a ticket stub.) It was Laguna Park, though. Pershing was no doubt a slip of the tongue, on John Zant’s part.
He is forgiven — it’s an obscure tidbit now.
