Jeff Bridges has listed his Montecito estate for sale with an asking price of $29.5 million.
The picturesque home, listed by Sotheby’s, is 9,500 square feet with 4 bedrooms and 5.5 baths. The living room has an antique fireplace and French doors that open to a “properly panoramic ocean view,” according to People Magazine. From the home, you’re able to see down through Montecito and across the open ocean to the Channel Islands. In the basement, there is a wine cellar and wet bar. The garage is 1,000 square feet and designed to store up to four cars.
In addition to the main building, the property also includes a caretaker’s residence and separate guesthouse. There is also a state-of-the-art screening room and recording studio that can be accessed from the main building by crossing a babbling brook. Elsewhere on the property, there are hiking trails, a pond-style swimming pool with a recirculating waterfall, and an extensive network of garden walkways.
The master suite includes a fireplace area and a walk-in closet that is larger than most Manhattan studio apartments, according to Variety. A staircase outside of the suite leads to a 650-square-foot roof terrace.
The home was built in 1988 and was purchased by Bridges in 1993 for an undisclosed amount.
