This Tuesday, nine people were arrested for possession of narcotics and weapons in Santa Barbara and Los Angeles counties in connection with George Jolly’s June 16 arrest here on the South Coast.
Authorities say Jolly is a Santa Barbara-based methamphetamine and heroin dealer, who was arrested after evading a Sheriff’s deputy during a traffic stop in Carpinteria and crashing his vehicle in Montecito. Upon fleeing, police dogs found Jolly hiding in a shed. Police discovered six pounds of meth and half a pound of heroin in Jolly’s car, and he was jailed for narcotics possession, officer evasion, and assault with deadly weapon.
Further investigation into Jolly’s reported drug dealing led to search and arrest warrants being served in Santa Barbara and Los Angeles counties. Thereby, nine arrests were made — three of them in S.B. — and 21 guns, 5 pounds of heroin, 23 pounds of methamphetamine, 8 vehicles, and large sums of cash were seized.
