Katy Perry made a surprise visit to the Attitude Harmony Achievement (AHA!) summer program on Tuesday.
Joined by sister Angela and her two friends Ngoc and Tamara, the Santa Barbara-born Perry hung out with the teenage wellness organization and participated in a three-hour creative writing and self-expression workshop.
Perry had heard about the foundation from loyal AHA! supporters Thom Rollerson and Marla Lee Phillips and was very impressed with the programs, said AHA! co-founder and co-director Dr. Jennifer Freed. Perry and company culminated their visit by dancing the Electric Cha Cha Slide with the teens.
“It was amazing. It was a divine miracle that it worked within her extensive touring schedule, and that she made the trip especially to see us is the highest honor,” Freed said.
