Just before 4 p.m. on Monday, a reported drunk driver plummeted his Ford Ranger into a parked pick-up truck, causing a four-vehicle collision on the 300 block of Yanonali Street. Jorge Garcia, 46, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.
Garcia’s white truck went underneath the parked silver truck he hit, raising it completely on top of his vehicle. The silver truck rammed into a parked red truck, which then hit another parked car in front of it. Garcia’s blood-alcohol content clocked in at .18 — more than twice the legal limit.
According to Officer Ethan Ragsdale, Garcia has at least one prior DUI and was on DUI probation. He was booked in County Jail. He sustained injuries, though the extent of them is unclear. No one else was injured.
