Christmas dinner will be served for free on Thursday at noon at the Veteran’s Memorial Building for the sixth annual community event. On the Italian-themed menu is lasagna, grilled veggies, bread, fresh fruit, smoothies, and a number of desserts. Live music will play and Santa Claus will pass out gifts. On Christmas eve, brunch will be served from 10:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the tree trimming party. Donations of toys and warm clothes — hoodies are requested — can be dropped off at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the memorial building, which is located at 112 Cabrillo Boulevard.
