Presqu’ile Winery, located in the Santa Maria Valley appellation of Santa Barbara County, has launched a Friday afternoon music series. Each Friday afternoon from 3:30 to 5:30 pm, an eclectic roster of local musicians and singer/songwriters will be performing inside the winery’s modern tasting room.
Presqu’ile owner Madison Murphy will be performing Friday, February 7th. Other upcoming performers include Nataly Lola (1/24) and Ray Fortune (1/31). Additional upcoming artists will be announced regularly on Presqu’ile’s website (www.presquilewine.com).
In addition to the music, revelers will have access to the winery’s site driven pinot noir, chardonnay and sauvignon blanc by the glass or bottle. To complete the experience the wines may paired with charcuterie, cheese plates, and salmon rillettes, prepared by Presqu’ile’s in-house Chef Brian Evans.
Designed by the esteemed San Francisco-based architectural firm, Taylor Lombardo Architects, the winery unfolds upon a hill atop the Presqu’ile estate. The architecturally stunning venue offers sweeping vistas of the Santa Maria Valley. Keeping sustainability in mind, many of the building materials used in the LEED certifiable structures were sourced from the West Coast. The stone used in the exterior and interior of the winery was sourced from a local quarry in Lompoc and the Western Red Cedar siding and Alder ceilings were sourced from Oregon.
“Our family’s goal with the Presqu’ile tasting room is to offer a place where people come to experience great wine and authentic southern hospitality in a unique setting, complemented by cool music and good food. These things are a huge part of our lives. It’s a pleasure to be able to share this piece of the Santa Maria Valley and our family with locals and visitors alike,” says owner, Matt Murphy.
