Santa Barbara County Long Range Planning is holding a workshop Tuesday night, October 29, at the Santa Barbara Woman’s Club near Rocky Nook Park to provide the public with an opportunity to share thoughts about developing a safer travel corridor between Mission Santa Barbara, Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History, and Rocky Nook Park up to Foothill Road.
The project was initiated this year as a two-year concept level planning process funded by a Caltrans Community-Based Transportation Planning Grant Program. The goal is to provide a forum for interested citizens to collaborate with the county to provide the community with safe access through the Mission Canyon corridor, from the Mission north along Mission Canyon Road to Foothill.
The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Woman’s Club. Located at 670 Mission Canyon Road and just north of the entrance into Rocky Nook Park. More information about the workshop can be obtained online at the County Long Range Planning website.
