Wed Oct 16, 2013 | 12:45pm

On October 27th, Family Care Network, Inc. (FCNI) will host its annual Taste of the Central Coast at Bacara Resort & Spa in Santa Barbara, California from 3:00 to 6:30pm. The Taste of the Central Coast is the premier food and wine event of the fall season, and raises funds to support children, youth, and families affected by trauma.

The Taste of the Central Coast will feature fine food from top savory and pastry chefs and wine from acclaimed local boutique wineries. Guests will enjoy a picturesque backdrop while listening to live music from the Laurel Lane Jazz Trio. Guests can also participate in a silent and live auction, which includes a seven night stay at Elysian Beach Resort in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands.

Guests of this year’s Taste of the Central Coast will also hear from former foster youth, Vanessa Alvarado, as she shares her experience growing up and the vital role FCNI has played in her life. “FCNI connected me to resources that helped me become an independent, responsible and successful adult,” Alvarado says. “I never thought I’d end up becoming a foster youth, but when I did, it was so comforting to have FCNI help me get through it.”

Please join FCNI for an evening of celebration at the Taste of the Central Coast, partnering with the agency in its efforts to restore hope and help rebuild futures.

Tickets can be purchased at tasteofthecentralcoast.com. For more information visit tasteofthecentralcoast.com or call 805-503-6269.

The Family Care Network is the largest private, nonprofit children and families services provider on the Central Coast. One hundred percent of the net proceeds earned at the event benefit the children and families served by the Family Care Network.
