Anyone can take a picture, but capturing the essence of a perfect sunset or the mood of people takes finesse and an artistic eye — and some practical skills. This summer, budding shutterbugs can learn both the art and technique of telling stories with a camera from professional surf photographer Branden Aroyan. With the Miramar Beach for the classroom, Aroyan teaches students their way around a camera including learning about exposure and composition. The classes are open to beginners and intermediates (ages 9-18) and take place Monday-Thursday, 9-11 a.m. or 1- 3 p.m., starting June 3. Cost: $120 for two classes. Space is limited.
