After a two-month investigation, drug detectives with with Santa Barbara Sheriff’s Department arrested 37-year-old Armando Trejo on Thursday on a charge of possessing cocaine for sale. According to Sheriff’s spokesperson Kelly Hoover, detectives and Goleta patrol deputies pulled Trejo over in the area of Calle Real and North Kellogg Avenue, then issued a search warrant on his house on Valdez Avenue. There they found approximately 2.5 ounces of cocaine with a street value of more than $7,000. Also, “Money consistent with drug sales was seized along with a digital scale and packaging materials,” Hoover said. Trejo was arrested and booked into County Jail with bail set at $30,000.
