Future residents of the Casas Verdes expansion at Valle Verde arrive at the groundbreaking ceremony on November 15, 2012. The 40 new single-story residential living homes included in the expansion are completely reserved. Casas Verdes marks the first significant senior living construction in Santa Barbara in the last 30 years.
In Santa Barbara County, 13 percent of residents have already reached retirement age.
