Six days of clouds and heavy rainfall let several county locales record above-average precipitation for this time of year. Santa Barbara city’s downtown meter logged 2.34 inches of rain, bringing the total to 4.1 inches for the 2013 Water Year, which runs September 1 through August 31. City rain levels are at 145 percent of normal for this time of year. Goleta, too, is above its average, measuring 3.23 inches in the past storm, bringing its total to 4.41 inches and 135 percent of normal. But the grand prize goes to San Marcos Pass, which logged a drenching 5.66 inches of sky water in latest storms, representing the majority of its 8.9 inches this year and putting it at 151 percent of average.
