After a very successful first Hautebox, DNA is proud to invite people to Hautebox #2 coming Saturday, December 1st (from 7pm to 12am) at the DNA Gallery & Studios.
The worlds of couture fashion and art will come together once again with a fashion show featuring pieces from Wardrobe Stylist Kym Fregoso’s immense showroom collection & a silent auction featuring art work from over 10 local artists & desirable items & vouchers donated by local companies. The event is being held in benefit of Intensive Heart Ventures non-profit to help aid them continue their success of their philanthropic mission in helping oppressed and disadvantaged people.
Just like DNA’s first Hautebox back in August (which Art Editor Charles from The Independent attended), this event will be an excellent opportunity for people of various industries – for photographers who will be able to shoot the show (reserved spots at the end of the runway) as well as all the models afterward, for stylists, designers, models, retailers, local shops, and fashion lovers to network, mingle & to enjoy a great night.
The fashion show will highlight this fall season’s decadent and luxurious styles with a militaristic edge. Hair & Makeup will be provided by Walter Claudio Salon Spa.
The silent auction will be ongoing throughout the night until 10pm. Artists include, but are not limited to Dino, Kayla McKenzie, Sander Chu, Meghan Hart, David J Diamant, and Blake Bronstad. A portion of each sale will go to Heart Ventures & the artist to help support both in their endeavors. Generous donations for gift vouchers and high quality products have been made by FLOAT Luxury Spa, Granada, Eye Society, Better Days Yoga, SB Brew Co & more to come (all profits will directly go to Heart Ventures).
There will be a multitude of entertainment throughout the night as a mix of saxophone, Djs and more will all be performing. Professional photo studio lighting will be setup by DNA for everyone to get their model shot of the night. Guests are also invited to actively participate in DNA’s “art wall”, a collaborative immense wood-canvas to be painted on, that has become a DNA tradition in past events.
Carr Winery has graciously donated towards this event & opened up their wine cellars to service patrons of Hautebox with their top notch selections. Santa Barbara Brew Co. will be providing a few of their zesty micro brews as well. (All alcohol sales will benefit Heart Ventures directly)
The New Black BBQ and Sugar & Salt Creamery will be on-site to provide food & delicious treats for everyone in attendance. (A portion of all food sales will go to Heart Ventures).
In addition, DNA is proud to announce the release of their new website & online store, featuring the merchandise of various local companies, all made official at the night of the event.

Since the opening of the new Studio, DNA has earned a growing reputation as a successful/hip art gallery and venue for special events such as the Surfaid International Benefit Show. The first Hautebox, which was held in August was a great success with more than 200 people of all ages between 21 – 55+ & from various industries attending. We are committed to making the second Hautebox an even bigger success with an expanded entertainment program and the addition of the silent auction in order to help one of Santa Barbara’s great non-profit organizations.
Intensive Heart Ventures, a 501C-3, non-profit, global community services agency established in 1984, provides broad based assistance to youth in need. Their mission is to build bridges for oppressed and socio-economically disadvantaged people to self-sustenance and quality of life. Currently Heart Ventures works mainly in Honduras, the 5th poorest country in the world. One of their regular project is building homes for women and their kids that lost their husband and father and desperately need a new home. Many times Heart Ventures uses money out of their own pockets for the so endless things that this country and its people need it for – just this month a girl needed to be brought to the main island by plane to have a life saving surgery which was paid out of pocket. Heart Ventures & the people they help truly need any support they can get.
