Six-Car, Major-Injury Accident on Northbound 101

An alert was sent out by the Santa Barbara County Office of Emergency Management moments ago that stated a six-car, major-injury accident occurred at around 2:55 p.m on northbound Highway 101 near Santa Monica Road in Carpinteria. No other information was provided.

According to the CHP’s incident report website, an SUV collided with a sedan and, as of 2:57 p.m., both northbound lanes were closed. Emergency vehicles were using the shoulder and part of a lane to get to the scene at 3:49 p.m.
