Kosik is a nationally known leader in the field of Alzheimer’s disease and the Harriman Professor of Neuroscience Research and co-director of the Neuroscience Research Institute at the University of California, Santa Barbara. He serves as executive medical director of the Cottage Center for Cognitive Fitness. Kosik is the co-author of “The Alzheimer’s Solution: How Today’s Care is Failing Millions and How We Can Do Better,” published by Prometheus Press, and the winner of numerous research and science awards.
Vasquez is CEO of Santa Barbara-based Vasquez Media Group, which does business primarily with Fortune 500 companies and their ad agencies, with a focus on collaborative publishing in national print and digital media programs. His roster of advertising and marketing clients has included the NFL Players Association, Sony Music and Universal Music, among many others.
Lew retired from Universal Studios in 2000 after a career with MCA/Universal spanning more than 25 years in executive and senior management positions including EVP Yosemite Park & Curry Company, president and COO Universal Studios Hollywood, president and CEO Universal Studios Florida (Orlando), and senior VP, Universal Studios, Inc.
The California Central Coast Chapter is a tax-exempt, 501(c)(3) nonprofit, donor-supported organization serving four counties in California: Santa Barbara, Ventura, Kern and San Luis Obispo. The Alzheimer’s Association envisions a world without Alzheimer’s and aims to eliminate the disease through the advancement of research, to provide and enhance care and support for all affected, and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health.
