Montecito YMCA Summer Day Camps
American Camping Association-accredited outdoor day camps for children in elementary school include activities like arts and crafts, bike trips, and sports and games. ART TELLS STORIES. Find out how artists tell stories by exploring the American collection in the Scenery, Story, Spirit exhibition, and then create sculptures, paintings, and drawings that explore setting, character, and mood. June 25-29 and July 30-Aug. 3.
THE SECRETS OF ART. Study the work of other artists to learn the tricks of the trade. Each day will be devoted to a different artist or technique represented in the Museum’s collection. By the end of the week, students will have both a sketchbook that records their impressions of the artists and a body of work that incorporates different media and themes. July 9-13 and Aug. 6-10.
UNPACKING CULTURE: WORLD ART. Explore the world and discover the art of the past by examining symbols and tracking cultural clues. Participants will travel visually through Mesoamerica, Egypt, Greece, and Asia to create sculpture, paintings, and more. Aug. 13-17.
S.B. Summer Stock Youth Theater
S.B. Summer Stock produces wildly creative showcases in theater, music, and dance. The program features technique training in stage acting, dance, and voice.
