John Zant brings up the idea of a land swap between Chavez Ravine, where Dodger Stadium is now, and the downtown Los Angeles site where Philip Anschultz plans to put an NFL team. I hope that idea gets into connected circles and the right ears at the top. I’ve been to about 28 ballparks all over the country and to me there’s no question that everybody would be better off if such a switch were made. The downtown economic development would be great. Just ask San Francisco and San Diego and several other cities with downtown ballparks.
