“This matching gift will help inspire more giving to help us reach our goal of $750,000,” said Vanessa Patterson, Executive Director Foundation for SBCC.
The campaign’s official start is Wednesday, March 14th with a VIP kick-off party and call night at the campus’ John Dunn Gourmet Dining Room. The exciting and interactive six-week campaign (March 14th–April 30th) is the most important initiative that the Foundation embarks upon to raise funds for student support and critical college programs during the year.
The VIP Volunteer Night will be a fun, upbeat and spirited event where the community’s top leaders, businesses, the Foundation for SBCC Board Members, current students and alumni, SBCC faculty and staff, and College supporters will be able to show their support of education and student success. The evening will include hors d’oeuvres prepared by SBCC’s School of Culinary Arts students, wine, live music, a photo booth and whimsical props, displays showcasing student on-campus organizations and more.
Money raised from the Campaign for Student Success will support students in a multitude of ways, from: scholarships, book grants, tutoring, childcare for single parents, library and resources, Continuing Education classes, and so much more!
