The tours start at 3:00 p.m. at the Carpinteria Camper Park , 4096 Via Real, where plans have been approved for 43 new affordable apartments. The next stop is Dahlia Court, 1300 Dahlia Court, where construction has begun on a 33-unit addition, including community room. The final destination is Chapel Court Apartments, 681 Ash Avenue. Attendees will be able to the after-school education centers in operation at Dahlia Court and Chapel Court.
Carpooling is encouraged. Refreshment will be served.
The tours will be facilitated by Peoples’ Executive Director Jeanette Duncan who will talk about the site plans, construction details, financing challenges, and the non-profits 40-year history in developing affordable housing in the tri-counties.
