Full of delight and drama, the Chorale’s spring concerts will be dedicated to love – love of mothers and all things musical! Chorale selections will include music of Mozart, John Rutter, and George and Ira Gershwin.
The Master Chorale (for singers 15 years and older) will begin rehearsing on January 10 and the Youth Chorale (ages 7-14) on February 28.
This will be the Santa Ynez Valley Master Chorale’s 33rd spring concert. This long-time community group offers children, teens and adults the opportunity to produce current, classic and stunning chorale music under the direction of accomplished and creative director Chris Bowman. The result is a powerful and harmonic blend of voices and orchestra that will draw you into the joyful spirit of music.
New Master Chorale members are encouraged to arrive at 7:15 p.m., January 10 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Janin Way in Solvang. Tenors and basses are especially encouraged to join. Master Chorale rehearsals are every Tuesday, 7:30 – 9:30 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, beginning January 10.
Rehearsals for children are every Tuesday, 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, beginning February 28.
Spring Concerts are scheduled for Mother’s Day weekend on May 11, 12 and 13.
